13-14 May 2013 | Europe and Hajj in the Age of Empires: Muslim Pilgrimage prior to the Influx of Muslim Migration in the West | Leiden

On Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 May, LUCIS, in cooporation with the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives in Riyadh, and the Museum Volkenkunde Leiden organised an international symposium entitled: 'Europe and Hajj in the Age of Empires: Muslim Pilgrimage prior to the Influx of Migration'. Convenor: Dr Umar Ryad, Assistant Professor of the Study of Islam in the Modern World at Leiden University Institute for Religious Studies. Location: Museum Volkenkunde, Paviljoen Entrance: free.
