Nachleben van de Antieken

In deze projectgroep wordt de invloed van de antieke cultuur op de beeldende kunst en de literatuur van de vroegmoderne tijd onderzocht. In kaart gebracht worden voorkeuren die vanaf ca. 1450 - ca. 1750 ontstonden voor bepaalde auteurs, literaire genres en thema's (mythologie, historiografie etc.) en de wijze waarop deze selectie werd gerecipieerd in de eigentijdse literatuur, beeldende kunst en wetenschap. De resultaten van de projectgroep worden gepubliceerd in Intersections. Yearbook for Early Modern Studies.
