On Thursday March 8, there is an evening open to every student and alumnus of the MA (or the specialization). Stakeholders from the book and publishing industry are also invited. The location will be announced later, but will be in or close to the Faculty. The programme for this evening is informative as well as fun: a series of short lectures by staff, students and alumni will be followed by ‘BDMS-Speeddating’, in which you will be linked to people with similar professional interests. Time schedule is as follows:
17h30: Welcome, with coffee/tea and sandwiches
18h45: Start short lectures
Coffee-break in between
20h30: Start BDMS-Speeddating
21h15: End of scheduled programme (unscheduled drinks?)
Sign up for this event by sending an e-mail with your name and the year you have graduated to bdmsalumni@gmail.com before February 9th . You will then receive a webform to fill out in more detail to confirm your attendance. We will also request a small contribution (students €2,50; alumni €7,50) to compensate for the organizational costs. If you are interested in giving a short lecture on the work that you do, please let us know as well.
It may have been a while since you have been involved with the MA-programme, it might as well be that you have only just graduated. In any case, the Student-Alumni Meeting will be a splendid opportunity to get back in touch with former classmates, connect with other Book & Digital Media professionals and get to know the latest class of students!
Therefore, we hope to meet many of you on March 8. Should you have any questions considering the Student-Alumni Meeting, please do not hesitate to e-mail, or get in touch via Facebook [MA Book&Digital Media Studies] or LinkedIn.
